Firmware Update

A firmware update is available for the Glow Stream HD camera. This update changes the web browser camera preview from Adobe Flash to HTML5, and is strongly recommended because Adobe no longer supports Flash.

Instructions

  1. Download the firmware update.
  2. Unzip the file. (Having trouble on Windows 10? Follow these instructions.)
  3. Open the camera’s web client. (See page 38 of the User Manual for details about how to do this.)
  4. Go to Configuration System Configuration Update, and click the “Browse…” button to select the new firmware file. Then click the “Upgrade” button.
    • The firmware update zip file includes folders for both 20x and 30x versions. Please select the folder for your camera.
    • IMPORTANT: Inside the folder are 2 different MRG files, one for the UV510 and one for the HTML5 player. Run the UV510 update first, then the HTML5 player. The HTML5 player update must run last.
  5. The device will reboot automatically after the update is applied. Please make sure the power and network remains connected to the camera through this process, or the upgrade will fail.
  6. After you run the UV510 update, but sure to also run the HTML5 player update.
